Editorial policy and use of artificial intelligence
Who is responsible for what is published on this website, how it is prepared, which sources it is checked against, how it is kept up to date and how you can ask for an error to be corrected.
Who is responsible for the content
The content of lazaroamable.com (the blog, the practice area pages, guides, comparisons and tools), in every language, is published under the responsibility of Lázaro Héctor Amable Méndez, a lawyer registered with the Las Palmas Bar Association (ICALPA) under no. 5.231 and the owner of this website. He directs its preparation and is answerable for what is published.
You can read about his professional background on his author page and find his professional details in the legal notice (both in Spanish).
How the content is prepared
The firm uses artificial intelligence tools, under the lawyer's direction, to prepare its texts: to search for and organise information, to suggest how a text should be structured and to write drafts. Artificial intelligence is not the source of what is stated. Legal references are checked against official sources:
- Legislation: against its consolidated text in the Official State Gazette (BOE), which shows the version in force with all amendments incorporated, or, where it is not consolidated there, against the official journal in which it was published.
- Case law: against CENDOJ, the Judicial Documentation Centre of Spain's General Council of the Judiciary, which publishes court decisions.
Every blog article shows its publication date and, if it has been reviewed since, the date of the latest update. Some pages also link to the official sources consulted, so that you can check them yourself.
General information, not legal advice
What is published on this website is general information about Spanish law as it stood when it was written or last reviewed. It is not legal advice and it is no substitute for the study of a specific case, which depends on each person's documents and circumstances. Reading the website, using its tools or writing in the chat does not create a lawyer-client relationship.
If you have a specific matter, you can request an appointment: you tell us about your case and the firm offers you a date and time.
How the content is updated when the law changes
When a law changes, the content it affects is reviewed and, when a blog article is corrected, its last updated date is changed. Not every affected text may be reviewed at the same time: check the date on the articles and, if you find content that is out of date, let the firm know.
Recent reforms that are not yet final are flagged as such. For example, a Royal Decree-law that the Spanish Congress has not yet ratified (convalidación) is presented as pending ratification, with the date the information refers to and a link to its publication in the BOE. When its status changes, the notice is updated.
How to request a correction
If you find an error, a provision that is no longer in force or a link that does not work, please tell the firm. You can write in English or Spanish:
- Email: alyabogados@lazaroamable.com
- Telephone: +34 633 572 607
Please include the address of the page and the point you believe is wrong. The firm checks it and, if the error is confirmed, corrects the text and, if it is a blog article, changes its last updated date.
Client reviews and cases
- The client cases published on the website (on the success stories page, in Spanish, or marked as real cases in an article) are real and anonymised: they include no names or details that could identify the person. They are only published with the client's consent.
- The other examples in the articles are illustrative scenarios, meant to explain how the rules apply.
- Client reviews come from the firm's public Google Business Profile, where anyone can read them. If they are reproduced on the website, they are copied word for word, without corrections or summaries, and not only the favourable ones are chosen.
- Nothing is offered in exchange for a review.
Artificial intelligence in the chat and the tools
The chat on this website is an artificial intelligence assistant, not the lawyer or anyone else at the firm. It runs on a Google language model (Gemini) and is set up to give general information about the firm's services and basic legal concepts, without assessing specific cases, estimating chances of success or promising results.
Like any artificial intelligence system, it can make mistakes. Its answers are for guidance only: for your case, what counts is the consultation with the lawyer. Do not enter health data, identity document or bank account numbers or any other sensitive data in the chat.
The Second Chance Law calculator also uses artificial intelligence to write a guidance analysis based on your answers. That analysis is not a legal opinion and does not predict the outcome of the proceedings.
